In collaberation with Saberware Computer Consultants Malachi Computer Consultants developed an update to an existing Access 2000 application that was currently in place at Canton Elevator, Inc. in Massillon Ohio.

The existing product was written in Access 2000 and was designed to build the quotes that Canton Elevator created for their clients. The existing app was rapidly outgrowing the business as the added a remote sales force which they then tried to access the application over a VPN through dialup. Access was incredibly slow as the database had grown to 30M in size with tens of thousands of records.

We took the existing application and modified it to work with SQL Server 2000. This proved to boost the performance incredibly and allowed for the usage of this application across the dialup VPN with very little slowdown.
